Being on time for your appointment is greatly appreciated. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment which will allow you enough time to complete the in-take process. If you are going to be late or are unable to make your appointment, please call and let us know. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a date and time that fits your needs.
If you wish to be provided with sedation for your procedure, do not eat or drink within 5 hours of your appointment. You can continue to take your regularly prescribed medications with water.
If you are taking insulin, do not take it the morning of your procedure as you will not have eaten for several hours. Do continue to check your blood sugar level. If you have any questions regarding how to proceed with your insulin dosage, please do not hesitate to contact Open Access Lifeline.
If you elect to receive mild sedation during your procedure, Florida law prohibits you from driving a vehicle for 12 hours after your procedure. You will need to make transportation arrangements prior to arriving at Open Access Vascular Access for your procedure. If you do not have someone to drive you, please contact the center for assistance with transportation arrangements.
You will be visiting us for a medical procedure. We recommend you wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothing. Lockers are available for your personal belongings, but we recommend that you leave your jewelry and other valuables at home.
Be sure to bring a jacket or sweater. Our center is air-conditioned and can get cold in some areas. We will be providing you with a light snack following your procedure as there is no food or drink service in our building. If there if something specific you require, we recommend that you bring it with you to your appointment.
Open Access Lifeline now offers complimentary WiFi Internet access.
